ABOUT
Hello!
My name Kristina and and this website is a result of my masters in social anthropology at the University of Kent, England.
You may be wondering why the combination of web design and anthropology. Well, I completed my undergraduate degree in sociocultural anthropology at The George Washington University with a minor in the fine arts. I continued onward a year later with a degree in web design at Seattle Central Community College in preparation to promote acquisition of anthropological knowledge by posting my master’s thesis online. Upon arriving at Kent and taking a series of courses dedicated to anthropological research methods, where the majority of studies lack a clear benefit for the studied population group, I decided to use my knowledge of web design to build websites not only for my research, but for the participants of my research who desired an online presence.
As a result of this research project and the connected discovery of design ethnography I now, am currently a masters of science candidate in Human Centered Design and Engineering at the University of Washington.
Beyond school, in my [limited] spare time I am an avid cyclist, consumer of sweets and explorer of all that is new.
